To create a secure working place is responsibility of all transport companies with access to the Freight Exchange

How to work safely in the freight exchange
Wtransnet, with its effort for creating a secure environment working in all Europe, has developed a very strict quality policy that allows the community to provide greatrer security. The QAP (Quality Assurance Policy) is the main guarantee of security of Wtransnet from its beginning. Its mission is not only to filter the entry of new companies but also to monitor continuously their behaviour in accordance with the standards accepted at the time of being registered. This was so much the case that Wtransnet has lost up 3 million of Euro of benefits by rejecting the companies that have not passed its Quality Standards.

A very important aspect that has contributed to Wtransnet be the leading Freight Exchange in security in all Europe is the process of filtering, where the seriousness is analyzed as well as the rating of the companies according to the type of business organization to which they belong, if they are going to offer loads (spedition) or if they are transport companies (with own or subcontracted trucks). In each case, we request some documents.

Generally, at the registration, and with the aim of verifying the identification and the necessary confirmations about the companies’ documentation, the European Transport Licence iand the company’s registration certificate are required. The companies offering freights in Wtransnet must have rating in COFACE or a Bank Guarantee covering the loads offered inside the Exchange. The hauliers have to give us some references of companies which are then confirmed.
All this security, however, by itself cannot guarantee 100% that all transactions within the Freight Exchange are performed without incident. This means that we need a commitment from all the associates carrying out all the required precautions when they are going to work with other collaborators. The hiring and the execution of the service take place out of Wtransnet so only the two parties are responsible of that.

Although all companies know the required documentation, sometimes, by circumstances of everyday life or for speeding up the process, this step is not performed. For that reason we want to point out the importance of this verification, and it is recommended that in the case of Forwarding companies, the haulier is requested, for example, the number of the vehicle’s plate also available in the Wtransnet Searcher WFinder for checking if the plate is registered and the documentation in place. Also, Forwarding companies should ask the haulier, if necessary, the CMR or the ADR certificate.
By the side of the haulier, it is important to do all the checks before the trip. First, to receive the loading order completed and with the instructions previously agreed: origin/destination, price, payment method and the VAT number for the invoice. This latter can also be checked in the Wtransnet Searcher. It is also responsibility of the haulier to verify that the agency has all the current documentation and has the possibility of offering loads in Wtransnet, information available in the Searcher or through the Companies information Service.
All this procedure, added to the communication by Wtransnet of any irregular behaviour of a partner, will benefit the good running of the Freight Exchange, this being essential for the collaboration of all who are part of the community.
